So I applied for a position as a Sea World guest photographer. Went in and had a GREAT interview. Got a letter today saying, "Your qualifications and interview results have been carefully reviewed. Unfortunately, at this time, we have not found an appropriate match for you within our company." I cried and I laughed. Especially since they have SO MANY of my photographs on their website and my husband and I were the first two photographs to be picked when they ran that website photography contest

So.... while that leaves me confused and disappointing, life has just been crap. It looks like it is going to take even LONGER to get my camera fixed because my husband has been laid off of work for two weeks. Please keep our family in your thoughts and prayers. We've been through so much, and we were just scraping by on his paycheck. Now that we are down to only my new job, things are looking even more desperate than before. We do not know when he will be able to return to work, and I am not even guaranteed a full time position at the studio I'm working for. Right now I'm just doing contract work when she has work for me to do. (I'm going to see about renting her studio to do stock shoots. I have a costume store contact, so if I can get some models and studio time lined up and some costumes, maybe I can make some nice exclusive packs for you to buy!)

Short story about my camera: I shot a wedding and my 50mm got STUCK on my camera. Being the idiot I sometimes can be... I forced the 50mm off my camera to find this:



The only camera repair place (30 min away) says that they cannot fix it because Canon does not make parts for this lens anymore. WHAT? I just got this lens! *slams head on desk*

So... the lens ended up breaking one of the little gold sensors inside my camera:


How much do you think it will cost to replace this little gold prong and the piece of plastic that holds it in?

Thankfully I can still MANUALLY focus the camera. Update: Now it is giving me error 99 everytime I try to use it I feel like chucking it and saving up for a used 5D or a 40D off Ebay. Seriously, I sat in their parking lot and cried for 10 minutes. My husband said that we'd try to get it fixed as soon as possible. So I'm asking for your help again by buying a commission from me.

What I ask is do you want a commissioned watercolor? Would you like to buy one of my old watercolors?

Would you like a decoupaged frame? Star shaped box?

I also have a 75-300mm EF 1:4-5.6 III USM Canon lens that I am willing to sell for $175.00 (plus whatever shipping and handling costs me) It comes in the original box with all the paperwork

I have some filters that are brand new and that I've never used that I am willing to sell. I bought them for $70.00 extra when I bought my IS lens. I'll get the info on them for you if you are interested.

I'd also be willing to design logos, business cards, etc for a cheaper rate. And if you live in the state of FL I'd be willing to work a discount on my Photography session rates! (I can still manually focus my camera, and I have the 10D as well)

Religious Manipulations of any sort (including spiritism, witchcraft, or holidays)

Political Campaigns or collages: This means no voting, abortion demonstrations, womens lib, 9/11 memorials, anti-war, pro-war, "the USA (or any other country) is great" type of things

R-rated Gore: Please do not use my model stocks in association with over the top gore and bloody horror. Silly vampires or crime scenes are acceptable (please browse my favorites)

DevSecret: please, I do not want my model stocks associated with your secrets. Most submissions aren't even artistic, I do not like the idea of my art being copied with text written over it.

Hate Art: Please do not use my stock for artwork that depicts hatred for any particular race, religion, celebrity, or use my stock to show hatred for or to insult my friends or I.

Redistributed You may not, under any circumstances distribute or publish my stocks under any other user-name or on any other website. You may not use my stocks in conjunction with other stocks to create "New" background stock


Where: Just remember, these stock photos are free to use PRIMARILY ON deviantART. They can be used in photo manipulations, paintings, references, ect.

MODEL STOCKS: I do not have model releases for third party sites, so please keep in mind that model stock needs to stay on DeviantART. Some model stocks are me, so for use of these anywhere else, please send a note to get written permission from me.
Co-stocks with ~larissa-stock, please get written permission from her to use her model stocks outside of DA.

Prints: If you use my stock and would like to sell it in prints (on DA or off DA), send me a note with a link to the photo you would like to make a print. I ask you to do this because some of my models did not give me a release form for prints.
